Greta Van Fleet’s Rock n’ Roll Revival

Straight outta Frankenmuth, MI… four-piece rock band Greta Van Fleet is getting some serious national hype thanks to their old school sound.

Releasing just two EPs so far (‘Black Smoke Rising’ and ‘From the Fires’), Greta Van Fleet has charted two tracks on Billboard’s Mainstreeam Rock, with Highway Tune spending 5 weeks at #1. They’re selling out shows all over the place. Elton John even asked the band to play his AIDS Foundation’s 26th annual Academy Awards Viewing Party.

Nice.

Robert Plant seems to be impressed too. Which considering the fact that Greta Van Fleet keeps being compared to the iconic Led Zeppelin, certainly can’t hurt.

[T]hey are the best rock band of all time, so we’ll take it. – Josh Kiszka

While the Led Zeppelin comparisons are certainly valid, I still think they have a sound of their own. And they’re young. Greta Van Fleet is looking at a bright future.

What do you think?
